sailing from the isle of skye
Here you’ll find a rich variety of wildlife on land including red and roe deer, otters and a huge variety of birds including skylarks, lapwings, shearwaters, diving gannets, golden eagles and sea eagles. Sea Eagles are majestic creatures and can be seen soaring above the Isle of Skye and the mainland. The seas in summer are home to basking sharks, minke whales, bottlenose and common dolphins, porpoise, seals and otters. Although spotted regularly, sometimes several types per day, they are never taken for granted by Ken or Anne, and the magnificence of these creatures never cease to amaze them. They have seen a whale looking into the yacht just after a couple had exchanged wedding vows aboard and a sea of 300 dolphins and 5 whales surrounding the yacht. Each day, each month and each year are different.
The wonderful wildlife we encounter are just one of the elements which combine to make our daily sailing trips so exciting and so special - so wild and magnificent!
